Ramadan Made Productive Despite Incident
Assalaamu'alaikum. Astaghfirullah is one word I wanted to say. Today was a total mess and it s*cked. I couldn't even hold my anger until now.
It started this morning when we thought we were gonna be late. I actually helped my wife get our daughter's meals ready for today and cleaned up the house, not to mention washed the dishes. However, we left home at a time where it made us late. On the way taking our daughter to the nanny's house, my wife kept talking about thw possibility for us of being late. It made me upset already.
Knowing that we were gonna be late, I sped up the motorbike. Nevertheless, once we got to the crossroad of Kronggahan, our motorbike suddenly stopped from working. I tried to turn it on several times and it still didn't work. My wife continued heading to school with a friend of ours who passed by. Then I examined what happened and I realized that there might be something wrong with the engine, I started to search for the nearest repair shops. Lucky that there are two. I push walked my bike to the nearest one. It was still closed as it was still around 08.13.
Then I headed to to the next one. Alhamdulillah, it opened already. When the mechanic checked, he guessed it was a problem of the electricity. Then I left it there and I headed to school by gojek. It was finished before I finished working. I took the motorbike by gojek again to get to the repair shop. Then I needed to go back to school again to pick up my wife.
I got really mad at the situation and my wife today. It made me late and I could only start teaching Tilawati at 08.40. Then it exhausted me as I should push walked the motorbike for about 1 km long. It was also really hot as I wore the Monday uniform. even worse I got mat at my wife since she already talked about the possibility of being late even before the incident. My mood was very negative. Then I didn't work from the heart.
Aside from the bad mood, alhamdulillah I could manage to do the following jobs:
- Finding/making material about enterprises in Indonesia. Then ask students to make a sort of summary/presentation about it in groups. Then do some gallery walk. Last but not least, assign students homework to interview their entrepreneurial parent/relative/connection. Next week bring laptop.
- Starting recapping English native teachers' attendance.
- Checking if there is any unprinted worksheet of English.
- In Javanese, asking each student to play e-gamelan (following one song provided (use the easiest one: "Kebo Giro")). While taking turns, the rest of the class do the Social Studies work.
- Finishing proofreading the annual book articles.
- Writing the best practice of grade 5.
The occurences added to the ups and downs of my fasting practices. They tested my patience. Even not knowing who to speak it out to, I posted an IG feed on critisizing this. Releasing this madness takes me quite a long time.
Thanks journal for listening to my trash. Wassalaamu'alaikum.
