First Days of Term 4

Assalaamu'alaikum. So, after the hustle and bustle of the end of term 3, here it comes the beginning of term 4. The curriculum stuff, mainly termly plan designing already consumed us as we need to design lessons that are not only interesting, but only meaningful. Therefore, students learn much, not only knowledge to know but also skills to acquire and cultivate.

For me, personally, as the curriculum coordinator, one of the biggest challenges was designing English lessons after being reviewed by Ms. Tara. I thought she would do it, but she asked us a very arrogant yet annoying thing: "Will Al Azhar pay me for that?" What I thought was "My goodness!" Thus I just decided to work on it by myself. I am not confident with own capability to do it, but I have no other options. I just followed the goal and broke it down into smaller pieces.

Lucky that it was not all the termly plans which got major revision, but only those of grades 3 and 4. Grade 3 focuses only on making inferences and grade 4 on past tenses, which include the simple past, past continuous, and past perfect. Alhamdulillah, although I should do some last weekend at school, at least I got them done. I just need to finish writing the termly plans.

Aside from the curriculum stuff, here is the list of things that I did by the first days of term 4:

  1. Print this English worksheets.
  2. Finish grade 4 English termly plan.
  3. Finish the list of curriculum commission members and send it to "We Just Have Each Other" for others' feedback.
  4. Checklist attendance.
  5. Remind HTs in the WA group about PKT's LPJ.
  6. Interview the parent candidate. Prepare the points of things to inform firs.
  7. Print Social Studies and Javanese worksheets.
  8. Upload Social Studies and Javanese classwork.
