Accreditation and the Busy Week

 Assalaamu'alaikum. So, after the last journal, I couldn't manage to write any journal/diary because every time I finished working, which was usually late, and I was already very tired, therefore writing a journal was very hard to do. Then I decided to write any, until today. And this journal is a wrap-up of that long journey of accreditation process.

Basically, I was none of an important person in the committee. I was just a sub-ordinary staff. But even a sub-ordinary staff still needed to work hard and overtime, because there was a lot of documents that needed to be prepared, the ones we never made because we thought it was not meaningful.

So, basically, I was part of the 'Proses Pembelajaran' team. This team deals with lesson planning process, from designing lessons until assessments. In this team, there were Ms. Aini, Mr. Hudan, Ms. Riri, Miss Danik, dan Mr. Didik. However, in particular, I worked with 1 point with Ms. Aini i.e. about lesson plan. Ms. Aini designed a lesson plan that fulfills the requirements from the Dinas Pendidikan. And me, more specifically, I needed to check if the lesson plans that all teachers submitted. So basically I didn't do designing, but instead, checking.

When it came to the checking time, I did my job but I didn't do it whole-heartedly because I was also busy preparing the lesson plans and the assessment instruments myself. Therefore I didn't really work with the other team members. They all worked in one room while me in my own classroom, since I couldn't use my laptop due to its slow performance lately. In addition to that, for me persosnally, it is also quite nerve-wrecking working with a lot of people who speak loudly. It isn't comfortable and in the end usually I will end up with doing nothing but making very little work. However I could do nothing but going with the flow. In other words, I helped them very little and the rest of my time was spent in my own classroom.

After such a struggle in the preparation, the visitation took place last two days ago. The assessors seemed to be surprised and proud with the school's performance, despite the fact that there is also something that we still need to complete. They said the school is beyound other average new school needing akreditasi.

Alhamdulillah the whole process was done yesterday. Despite my little work, I hope for the school to obtain very high score. Aamiin. And one of the lessons that I learn from this process is that I need to start organising and making all  the documents needed as required by  the curriculum coordinator so that when we need them someday, I don't need to work hard in the last minute.
