Assalaamu'alaikum.
Alhamdulillah I started the day with preparing all the files for morning routine while having breakfast and a chit-chat with Ms. Ana. After that, I opened zoom when it turned 7.30. The first thing I did was helping students with completing Science Cambridge worksheet about Temperature Dissolving Investigation. We filled in the variables (independent, dependent, and controlled) of the experiment. They are the dissolving process, time, and temperature. We discussed a little and alhamdulillah I could lead them in to the right direction. Even when making conclusions, we also did it together. Having finished with the discussion, I made a classwork for that on google classroom.
After completing the worksheet, we did morning meeting. However, since some of the time was spent for the worksheet completion, we only did the short surats, Asmaul Husna, and tadarus. Having finished the morning meeting they had IT where they learned to design 3D house on sketchup. The next lesson was Math where they discussed addition and subtraction of fractions, followed by Science Thematic where they talked about different types of forces.
Break Time for 30 minutes came after that, followed by Qur'an Studies. As I needed to attend grade 6 class to discuss preparation for their mini research and exhibition, I asked for Ms. Ana's help to host 4 Ali's meeting.
Attending grade 6 meeting was one of today's highlights. We met for the first time, in our assigned group (after they're in grade 6 (as the last time I saw them when I was their homeroom teacher in grade 4)) to discuss the topic they're going to take, assigning who becomes what, the job descriptions, setting the timeline, and naming the group. I was so happy to get in touch with them anymore as I've realized that they've grown so much. The members are Ara, Kenes, Rifa, Mily. To make our interraction easier, Mily, made a WA group for the five of us. The topic we picked is "Religious Holidays around the World".
Attending tahsin and Jumuah Mubarokah were the next agenda. We practiced to recite surat Al Fatihah appropriately according to the Islamic rules. Once we're done with that I went back to my classroom to finish the week 5 weekly plan draft. However, since there was still an uncertainty on the organization of the second doze of Covid-19 for students, I can totally finish it, waiting for the final decision that was discussed in the all-Principal meeting with the Foundation's leaders. Ms. Vita said Ms. Iyut would inform us by Maghrib.
