To-Do List:
It was offline and online today and I didn't plan what to do today yesterday. Therefore, this morning I didn't have time to do that. As usual, blended learning gets me really hectic with all the setting up stuff. Moreover, I couldn't get to school early as I needed to wait for my wife to get ready for office. I would say that it was a little bit of mess this morning.
- Printed out causes of battles.
- Set up 3 Umar and 3 Ali.
- Led testimony and morning meeting.
- Taught 4 Ali Civic Education: national heroes where students made a poster about one national hero with canva.
- Asked for students' help to fill out a questionnaire about me and Ms. Vita (teacher's assessment by students).
- Talked about the progress of grade 4 in general. Some students turn out to perform better when it's offline, but some others don't make any progress yet. Even some students who tend to be active in class and have performed well got declined in their performance.
Notes:
- Today, it was messy when I taught 4 Ali A with the online students. They had done IT project's making a poster about national heroes, which actually was supposed to be part of Civic Education. Actually I already discussed it with Ms. Ulya to have them interdisciplinary, but it didn't go as I expected. I expected that they should check out the points I wanted them to include in their poster. Some of them checked, but some others didn't seem so. Even at first Kania was just sitting and spinning around on her chair. What made it even worse was that I forgot to plug the LAN cable in my laptop. It made me impossible to play a video that I played in 4 Ali B in the first session. When I realized about the LAN cable, time already went on quite long. Then I asked them again if all points were already included, I decided to spend the time to ask for the offline students to fill out the questionnaire. Beforehand, I told them to submit the link on google classroom. Then I asked the online students to read getepic. In fact, they just played together. Alhamdulillah Fatimah and Nail would show me the progress. Meaning that they did what I instructed to do. Next time I need to be more careful with planning an interdisciplinary lesson.
