Completed Work List:
- Hosted morning meeting which was led by Hikari and Muslim figures' storytelling which was performed by Kamil (Buya Hamka) and Alisha (Ibnu Sina)
- Taught Javanese 'Etungan Jawa' and I showed them numbers of Javanese Ngoko and Krama and a template containing Javanese numbers for their oral practice. As we ran out of time, I will ask students to do the practice tomorrow in Thematic class
- Discussed an issue about a teacher that gets a lot of complaints from parents with Ms. Iyut
- Hosted Science: Materials and Their Properties. Before Ms. Tara joined, I asked students to prepare the worksheet and the other stuff needed for today's learning. Ms. Tara actually asked me to send her the link of the Wordsearch for students to enjoy. During class, students did some work that required them to explore their house and find things made of certain material as instructed by Ms. Tara
- Hosted Ms. Diska for Music class. Though it was started late, the material was delivered. I hope they understand this. I sent the file to parents' in the WA group chat already, for them to read and then practice the theory.
- Sent Kania's mother the information about tasks Kania needs to complete for yesterday and Keira's mother about the other tasks Keira needs to complete today. Kania was absent yesterday because she went to sleep before the class started in the morning and Keira was absent today because there was a blackout at her home this morning.
Highlight:
Today, in my opinion, Ms. Tara showed me how a simple class would be so classy. She started with a Wordsearch and students were enthusiastic to do this game. It successfully attracted students and got them engaged in the lesson. At the same time, it also reminded them of some vocabulary. Once in a while, Ms. Tara explained some terms that students seemed to forget. Then the class went as Ms. Tara explained the next activity, exploring their house and find objects which are made from certain materials like wood or glass. After the exploration, students did the worksheet. One of the things I like about Ms. Tara is that she always asks students who work fast to read a book when there is extra time. When the class ended, she wrapped up the meeting and explained what students need to do further. As it seems, what she does is not something that is very sophisticated in terms of teaching. However, she does it very greatly. And that leaves an impression of what a classy class is like, not only to me, her peer teacher but also to students and parents. I should thank Ms. Tara for giving such a "less-is-more" lesson. Impressive!
